This collection is part of a product line for women that features a silhouette inspired by the many cameos worn by Empress Joséphine. The colour of the figure recalls numerous tapestries conserved at Fontainebleau Castle.
Stella Cadente partner for the RMN June 2008
The RMN specially asked Stanislassia Klein, designer at Stella Cadente, to create a line of four pieces of jewellery, one stole and one scarf. These lovely items are inspired by Claude Monet's aquatic universe of water lilies, exhibited at the Orangerie Museum in Paris.

Reproductions of Famous Busts January 2008
A bust is a sculpture of a person that shows the head, shoulders and chest. This kind of three-dimensional work aims at an accurate representation of a person's appearance. Artists have made busts as a sculptural exercise since Antiquity. As in portrait-painting, great busts become masterpieces when they restitute not only the sitter's physical appearance, but also his or her personality and inner life.
New Collection of Egyptian Earthenware January 2008
"Egyptian blue" is a colour obtained by combining quartz, copper, limestone and a small quantity of alkalines, such as natrons. At a temperature lower than that of vitrification (around 900°C), the different ingredients cristallize to form a new compound. Reduced to a powder, this substance can be used as a pigment. This same powder can be blended with ground quartz and a little chalk, then fired in a mould to create small objects.

The King's Herbarium May 2007
The RMN has created a new line of tableware called the King's Herbarium Collection. Our inspiration comes from six of the 319 engraved plates in the botanical work entitled "Recueil des Plantes du Roi Louis", now conserved in the Louvre Museum's copperplate engravings collection.
